2nd Slab Mug:
For the second slab mug, I decided to dedicate my project to my mother, since I started it around Mother's Day. This project was very fun for me, because although I ran out of ideas on how to decorate it, I somehow managed to pull it off, and I now have a pretty cool mug that I can give to my mom. One thing I regret is that the actual decorative parts of this mug are minimal, and could've used more time developing. I would've also liked there to be more unique colors that we could glaze with, but I worked with what I had, and I think it turned out okay.
Lidded Pinch Pot:
For the lidded pinch pot project, I also decided to make mine based on an actual creature. Even though I'm not really sure what animal I was going for, it sort of looks like a squirrel, and I really ole how it turned out. Next time, I'll be sure to make the actual cut of where it opens to be much more smooth, and less jagged and messy. I would also like to do a better job glazing, or have at least a better color to work with, so next time I don't have to blend two colors, making it even less neat.
Creature Pinch Pot:
My creature pinch pot is based of the the Monsters Inc. character, Mike Wasowski, who is one of my favorite Pixar characters of all time. I was really surprised that my project actually turned out to look a lot like him, if only I had a brighter green to glaze him with, it would really look like him. Next time, I think it would be cool to find out a way of how I could add his skinny arms and legs, but I figured this time it would be fairly difficult, so I stuck with just a basic-shaped head.
