Throughout the week in class we worked on our calligrams. This project was especially fun because we got to choose whichever shape we wanted, and a word or phrase to fit inside. I choose to do a rainbow, a piece of bacon, and a peace sign saying, "don't worry, be happy". the bacon piece was simple to do, but took a while to color because I had to be really exact when coloring it in. Also, I'm glad we had to color it, because there's made it look more like an actual piece of bacon. Now, the rainbow was especially fun to draw because I could also use different colors to color it in, and it had a more distinguishable shape. Lastly, the peace sign was entertaining to make because I got to incorporate a phrase into the calligram. Although, it was tedious because I had to mediate exactly where the letters had to be in order to complete the phrase efficiently. Next time we do this project I think it would be fun if we got to paint it, or even if we drew another picture inside the individual letters. Overall, this was a super fun project that I would definitely do again!
